Music with Mr. Key

About Mr. Key

Edd Key is the Stevens Elementary Resident Artist in K-5 Music and Performance.  His musical background includes American Roots and World Music, classical, folk, experimental, rock, and jazz. He completed a Bachelor’s Degree in Music Education, K-12 Vocal and Instrumental, from Western Kentucky University; and graduate work in Renaissance and Medieval musicology atOhio State University.  Mr. Key holds a Washington State Teacher’s Certification for music.

A fundamental focus of all these programs is to foster interest in musical learning through performance activities.  Performance is the crucible where musical skill and design come together to create a practical, confidence-fostering experience for our students. These activities are designed to help students develop knowledge and skills that can be applied to a variety of musical endeavors – both active and passive – throughout their lives.

Multicultural Night 2018

This huge, multifaceted annual performance event is coming on Thursday, April 26.

Many classes will be performing dances and there are songs that all classes are learning with Mr. Key, in addition to some choir pieces.

Song lyrics and program information for the event. Below you will find accompaniment tracks, with voices and without, for students to use to practice at home.

I cannot get the tracks to play properly in Internet Explorer on a PC at Stevens.  Use Chrome or Firefox.
