How long will it take your student to read a million words? Maybe you would like to challenge them to reach a million before you! Download the forms here or pick one up in the Library.

Tracking on the Million Words Reading Log is simple. Every time your student finishes a book, they can enter the title and author’s name on the chart.  For I-Can-Read and picture books, just put the letter in the next column on the chart. For chapter books, write: (# of words in a full line of text) X (# of lines on a full page) X (# of pages in book) I will calculate the number of words in a book and keep a running total for your student. When one side of the log is filled in, your student should return it to the library.
